‘Tomorrow People’: John and Jedikiah Eye an Unlikely Alliance (Exclusive Video)

It's getting mighty complicated on The Tomorrow People.

With alliances shifting and powers being revealed, The CW sci-fi drama returns after a brief hiatus with an episode that tees up another unlikely teamup: former allies and current foes Jedikiah (Mark Pellegrino) and John (Luke Mitchell).

The Hollywood Reporter exclusively premieres a scene from Monday's hour, "Modus Vivendi," that begins with a rattled Jedikiah ready to shoot at anything and anyone as he stands guard over his brother Roger's frozen body. As he sees it, with the Founder in power instituting new Ultra rules, things are getting a bit gray.

As the scene suggests, Jedikiah unsuccessfully broke in to his former Ultra haunt -- "Desperate times, desperate times," he justifies -- and when John tells his former mentor it's time to leave, Jedikiah gets defensive. The Founder isn't letting up, John explains. "The Founder has put a bounty on your head," he says, and the only way to protect Roger is for Jedikiah "to get as far away from him as possible." But to Jedikiah, blood is thicker than water.

Instead, he proposes that John join in on the effort to guard Roger's body against The Founder. "Help me," Jedikiah pleads, offering John his rifle. "Please?" What will John do?

The Tomorrow People airs Mondays at 9 p.m. on The CW.
