“Katie Holmes has a new man in her life,” begins a piece from Star, which reports that the actress has been “getting close” to Jason Segel.
The magazine, which was forced to issue a formal apology to Holmes after falsely alleging she was addicted to drugs, now claims to know the ins and outs of the star’s dating life.
A purported “pal” tells the tab that Holmes is “so smitten that she thinks he may be The One.”
The supposed “friend” further says Segel has “already bonded with Katie’s 8-year-old daughter, Suri,” and adds that the actor is “considering relocating from L.A. to New York to be closer to Katie.”
Well, that might be a bit premature… because Holmes and Segel are not even dating.
The stars do know each other from when the actress guest starred on “How I Met Your Mother” in 2011, but that’s all.
A rep for Holmes says she and Segel are NOT romantically involved.
