This cell phone video of a fight between a teacher and a student from inside a classroom at Santa Monica High School went viral Friday, and now thousands of people have voiced support for the teacher.
The teacher in question is Mark Black, a longtime educator and wrestling coach who tackled and pinned an 18-year-old student to the ground.

Santa Monica High School District Superintendent Sandra Lyon said the incident was "utterly alarming." She took action quickly and put the teacher on leave pending the outcome of an investigation.
