She may be rocking a pants suit, but Lena Dunham proved she would make a horrible Gladiator on Scandal. The March 8 Saturday Night Live host worked alongside Olivia Pope and associates in a Scandal sketch where new SNL star Sasheer Zamata played Kerry Washington's lead role as the Washington D.C. fixer.

Dunham, 27, played Kelsey, the newest member of the Gladiator team, who had plenty of questions for her powerful boss. After Pope asked her to fly to Mexico and place a bug on the ambassador's wife, Kelsey asked who was buying the plane ticket, and if she should bring a swimsuit, in case her hotel had a pool.
Pope ignored the questions, insisting Kelsey head to a ball to plant the bug.

"Not to be a whatever, but if it's a ball, maybe you should go instead of me," Kelsey said. "Just saying, you're a stunning black woman in a phenomenally-tailored white pants suit, and these are the fanciest clothes I own."

After Taran Killam appeared as President Fitzgerald Grant and shared an intimate moment with Pope, Kelsey quickly quipped, "Ummm, ok! That was President of the United States. How are you not texting like a thousand people right now? I wish my dating problems were that the guy was the president."
Ultimately, Kelsey didn't quite cut it as a Gladiator, declaring, "Olivia, I feel like you walk faster than I run, even though you're always dressed for a formal wedding. No offense, but I'm actually going to go, but I want you all to know that you're the most beautiful and ethnically diverse people I've seen in one room, and you should be really proud of that."

The first-time host appeared in a series of sketches including one where she played an entirely nude Eve, telling an unconventional version of the Adam and Eve story and another were she played a horny middle schooler co-hosting the talk show What Are You Even Doing? with special guest Jon Hamm.
