ABC is expanding its “Bachelor” franchise with a new spinoff, “Bachelor in Paradise.”

Slated to premiere this summer after “The Bachelorette” with Andi Dorfman concludes, the show will give past contestants — fan favorites and villains alike — another chance at finding love as they live together in an “isolated romantic paradise.”

“The romantic dating series will feature new twists, shocking surprises, unexpected guests and some of the most unlikely relationships in ‘Bachelor’ history, plus all the usual romance, drama and tears we’ve come to expect from the ‘Bachelor’ franchise. It all comes together in the romantic television event of the summer,” says the network.

The six-episode series, hosted by Chris Harrison, will include rose ceremonies, according to Entertainment Weekly, though it’s unclear if participants will actually be eliminated.

ABC previously aired the competition series “Bachelor Pad” during the summer break between “The Bachelorette” and “The Bachelor,” but declined to renew the show after its third season in 2012.
