Amazon's Prime Instant Video is now the exclusive online subscription home of BBC America series Orphan Black.
Season one and future seasons of the show, featuring breakout star Tatiana Maslany, will be available for streaming solely by Amazon Prime Instant Video subscribers. The second season of the acclaimed series premieres on BBC America on Saturday.

Maslany has received praise for her role in the series, which also earned her a Golden Globe nomination and Critics' Choice, Television Critics Association and Young Hollywood awards.
“Orphan Black is exactly the type of smart, suspenseful TV show that our customers love to binge on,” Amazon director of digital video content acquisition, Brad Beale, said in a statement. “It’s easy to see why Tatiana Maslany was nominated for a Golden Globe for her role in Orphan Black. We’re excited to offer the first and future seasons exclusively to Prime members at no additional cost, continuing our tradition of offering a wide variety of great content we know our customers will enjoy.”
The show was created by award-winning director John Fawcett and award-winning writer Graeme Manson and is produced by Temple Street Productions in association with BBC America and Bell Media's Space and is distributed internationally by BBC Worldwide North America.

The deal is the latest salvo in the ongoing battle among Amazon, Netflix and Hulu Plus to attract and retain subscribers with exclusive pacts with content providers as well as original productions.
Amazon is already the exclusive subscription streaming home of PBS' Downton Abbey, FX's The Americans, CBS' Under the Dome and upcoming Extant as well as hit shows like Veronica Mars and Justified. Prime Instant Video also has an exclusive collection of kids shows from Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. including SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer and Blue's Clues.
