USA Network is setting its sights on Sirens.
Based on the U.K. format, Sirens centers on three of Chicago’s best EMTs, whose sometimes silly, self-righteous and even self-destructive personalities make them unqualified for sustaining relationships, friendships and most occupations. Executive produced by Denis Leary and Bob Fisher, the series marks the NBCUniversal-owned cabler's first entry into the original comedy space in a while.
Starting Monday evening, USA begins rolling out four new promo spots offering a deeper look at the series starring Michael Mosley, Kevin Bigley, Kevin Daniels and Jessica McNamee. The Hollywood Reporter exclusively debuts a first look at one of the four, spotlighting a comedic moment between Mosley, Bigley and Daniels from the third episode, "Alcohol Related Injury," where the veteran EMTs task the rookie to save a junkie's life and they document it via an iPhone photo. Let's just say things don't end exactly as planned.
"A lot of the stories we're using come from EMTs that we know," Leary told reporters in January at the Television Critics Association winter press tour. "It does allow us to be absolutely insanely funny without having to carry the weight."
Sirens premieres March 6 on USA Network.
