Justin Bieber hit back at Twitter critics on Friday, seemingly responding to jokes that the Sochi Winter Olympics should determine where the troubled star lives.
While Team USA faced off with Canada in the men’s ice hockey semi-final game, a number of users tweeted that the losing country should have to “keep” Bieber, who is a Canadian.
The singer and avid hockey fan celebrated Canada’s victory with the tweet, “Big win Canada!! Gold medal next! #proudcanadian,” before vaguely addressing the jokers a few minutes later.
“I guess I’m an easy target for some. I’m still human. I will continue to meet hate with love. It’s all about the music. Much love,” wrote Bieber.
He added, “Thanks to all those beliebers out there inspiring me everyday.”
