Jessica Simpson “is on the verge of canceling her wedding” because she’s “worried” parents Joe and Tina Simpson “might ruin her big day,” clams Star.
According to the tabloid, the singer recently ”exploded when pictures of her dad cavorting on a Miami beach with 21-year-old Scottish model Jonathan Keith were splashed across the web.”
“She called Joe up and started yelling about his total and complete lack of judgment,” says a “source” for Star. “Joe just insisted to her that Jon is his client and that there’s nothing to it.”
Star claims that ”every time Jessica gets her dad and mom to make a truce so they can attend her wedding, Joe does something to embarrass her as much as possible,” with the photos supposedly being the latest offense.
The magazine’s alleged snitch goes on to claim that Joe wants to bring Keith as his “plus-one” to the event, and that the singer is supposedly “worried about possible confrontations on her big day — mainly because her mom is just itching for a fight.”
“Joe’s scorned ex-wife, Tina, is still smarting over his betrayal, and the source says that Jessica is worried she’ll blow if she finds herself in the same room as Joe,” writes Star.
The outlet’s source goes on to regurgitate already-debunked claims about Tina supposedly having a drinking problem, saying that, combined with the alleged new issues with Joe, have forced Simpson to consider “running away and eloping in Las Vegas.”
“She’s worried about her mother getting emotional at her wedding or her dad creating a scene,” alleges the supposed Star insider. “The Simpsons are in complete chaos right now, and eloping may be Jessica’s best option.”
Actually, “complete chaos” would be an apt way to describe Star’s reporting and fact-checking, because Simpson is NOT considering eloping, and she is NOT having problems with her parents.
Such rumors have been around for years, and in fact, Star has already gone down this road – back in 2012.
It was false then and it’s still false now.
A source close to Simpson tells Gossip Cop it’s “not true” she’s having any sort of “wedding crisis.”
