Discovery is going all out to promote its first original scripted entry, Klondike.
The six-hour miniseries, which stars Game of Thrones' Richard Madden, tells the story of the last great Gold Rush in history. Madden will join Klondike co-stars and executive producers for a special episode of Discovery's Gold Rush preshow The Dirt on Monday, Jan. 20 at 7 p.m. That special will lead into a new episode of Gold Rush before the first two-hour part of Klondike debuts at 9 p.m.
Hosted by Christo Doyle -- who also serves as an EP on Gold Rush, the Klondike episode of The Dirt will feature interviews with cast members including Madden, Abbie Cornish, Johnny Simmons and Conor Leslie. Executive producers Dolores Gavin, director Simon Cellan Jones and production designer Ken Rempel -- who helped re-create the Canadian boom town of Dawson City -- will also provide an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the three-part miniseries.
Gold Rush miners including Parker Schnabel, "Dakota" Fred Hurt and Dustin Hurt will also join the preshow festivities.
Klondike airs from 9-11 p.m. on Jan. 20, 21 and 22. Check out an exclusive clip from the miniseries, from executive producer Ridley Scott, above. Stay tuned to THR for more news on Klondike from TCA, where the mini is one of our 12 most anticipated panels.
