Game of Thrones Season Four Trailer Premieres: Watch the Video now

Winter is coming . . . in April. Season four of Game of Thrones debuts on HBO April 6, and while fans champ at the bit for the return of the smash fantasy saga series (based on George R.R. Martin's Song of Ice and Fire books), they're making do with the first trailer, which went online Sunday, Jan. 12.

Picking up immediately where season three left off (and still based off book three, A Storm of Swords), the preview hints at all the battles, family drama, rivalries, treachery and world-building to come.

Among the many, many highlights? With dragons and her army of the Unsullied at her side, Khaleesi/Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) continues her approach to the heart of Westeros. "They can live in my new world or they can die in their old one," she says of her enemies.

Returned-from-captivity Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) tries in vain to counsel his arrogant, deranged nephew King Joffrey (Jack Gleeson), while his sister Cersei (Lena Headey) confronts their father Tywin (Charles Dance): "I will burn our house to the ground before I let that happen!"

Meanwhile, Stannis Baratheon's (Stephen Dillane) terrifying spiritual counselor Melisandre (Carice van Houston) chimes in: "There is only one hell: The one we live in now.:
