LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- “Game of Thrones” fans were thrilled with the first trailer that recently debuted for Season 4 and Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke told Access Hollywood that’s just the beginning of the thrills – both epic and tragic.

“There’s a lot of death this season,” Kit, who plays Jon Snow, told AccessHollywood.com’s Laura Saltman on the SAG Awards red carpet “I [can’t wait] to see [which actor] nailed their death this season.”

And Season 4 will put the bastard son of Ned Stark in a whole new role.

“He’s speaking and fighting for himself,” he explained of his character’s transformation. “It’s a big season for him. He’s got a lot to do… This season, he turns into a leader. He doesn’t have an older male figure speaking for him.”

Speaking of big new things in Season 4, did you see the size of Daenerys Targaryen’s dragons in the trailer?!?

“They’re huge! They’re huge, they grew,” Emilia Clarke, who plays the feared and fan-favorite Daenerys (aka Khaleesi), told Laura at the SAG Awards.

The actress said that Khaleesi’s fire-breathing winged creatures are a game changer.

“Her dragons help [get her to a throne],” the actress explained, adding that her character is “darker and more confident” in the new season.

“Game of Thrones” Season 4 premieres April 6 at 9 PM ET/PT on HBO.
