In the season premiere earlier this month, the character, played by actress Lesley Nicol, wasn’t happy with the electric mixer that had been introduced to the kitchen. She found herself struggling with it and nearly busting it as it sprayed ingredients across the kitchen.

When Access Hollywood asked Lesley on the red carpet last week about how she was with another electric-powered item — toasters (introduced on the show by Mrs. Hughes) — she admitted she’s had a little bit of trouble.

“I broke one the other day,” she told Access, with a laugh. “I’m not great.”
