LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Sean Penn is ditching his nearly 65-piece gun collection for the one new special woman in his life – Charlize Theron.
After being spotted in Hawaii over the holidays, Sean and Charlize took their new romance public in a big way on Saturday night at the actor’s Help Haiti Home gala in Los Angeles.
Sean, 53, and Charlize, 38, arrived to the event separately, but were seen together during the gala reportedly not shy about showing some PDA.

”[He] had his hands all over Charlize,” an attendee told People. “During the event they were all over each other – it was on!”
During the Help Haiti Home event, which raised $6 million for residents of the ravaged Caribbean nation with an auction, Sean revealed his major shift on being a gun owner and how a sculpture from famed artist Jeff Koons will dispose of his fire arms.
According to E! News, during the event the actor said, “a strong woman who happens to be from South Africa,” changed his mind about his gun collection, which includes nearly 65 weapons.

“Being provoked by this aforementioned strong woman and considering how liberating of bulls*** and ugliness it would be not only to get rid of the guns I have in the continental United States, but also to destroy them, Jeff Koons and I had a chat the other day,” Sean said, reportedly referring to the actress. (When Charlize was 17, her family was marred by gun violence when her mother shot and killed her father who had threatened to kill the actress’ mom and fired shots at their house following a night of drinking.)
“The highest bidder gets every single one of my guns put in the hands of this iconic artist and sculptor… Koons will decommission [and] render inactive all of my cowardly killing machines,” Sean continued.
And the future owner of Koons’ art piece made of Sean’s guns is Anderson Cooper, who bid $1.4 million.
