Cate Blanchett seemed to throw a little shade at Matthew McConaughey and SAG Awards producers during her acceptance speech on Saturday.
The actress, named best Female Actor in a Leading Role, had been on stage for less than a minute when she noticed the teleprompter was already telling her to wrap up.
“29 seconds?!” she exclaimed. ”Matthew McConaughey spoke about Neptune and I think I can have five seconds!”
Not surprisingly, producers let her continue for more than that, and Blanchett went on to quip, “For those who voted for me, I thank you. And for those who didn’t, better luck next year.”
She then stroked her award, which, of course, is designed to look like a naked man, before offering co-star Sally Hawkins “the penis part.”
