The hip hop rappin' Alex Trebek? The 73-year-old Jeopardy host broke it down on Monday, Jan. 6 while reading questions in the category "It's a Rap."
Trebek rapped lyrics from Dr. Dre, Notorious B.I.G., Public Enemy, and the Beastie Boys. His performance even made top-scoring contestant Mary Manhardt laugh while answering the category's final question correctly.
"Yes, and I don't know why that's making you laugh so much," Trebek cheekily replied.

The silver-haired host has been a part of the show since its syndicated debut in 1984, and fans were delighted to see him loosen up for this fresh category.
"Alex Trebek, usually playing it safe on Jeopardy, but recently he got jiggy with it," Today Show anchor and weatherman Al Roker said on Jan. 7.
One Twitter fan tweeted, "Alex Trebek is my idol. He could be the new Macklemore. Lol."
And The Wire site posted an article titled, "Alex Trebek Is Not Dead. He Is Rapping," after fans became concerned when Trebek's name started trending.
