Wass Stevens Boards TNT’s Ed Burns Pilot (Exclusive)

TNT's Ed Burns pilot Public Morals is filling out its ranks.

The Wrestler and House of Cards' Wass Stevens has joined the cast of the period drama written by, starring and directed by Burns, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Set in New York City in 1967, the cop drama centers on the Public Morals Division, where cops walk the line between morality and criminality as the temptations that come from dealing with all kinds of vice can get the best of them. It centers on cop Terry Muldoon (Burns), who knows the line between the good guys and the bad guys is thin but is determined to raise his sons to be honest and hardworking.

Stevens will play Vince Latucci, a tough and mean senior on the force, who grew up on the streets of Little Italy. He looks more like a wise guy than a cop and is partnered with the yet-to-be cast Shea.

Public Morals hails from Amblin TV and TNT Original Productions, with Steven Spielberg and Burns exec producing alongside Darryl FrankJustin Falvey and Aaron Lubin. It extends Amblin's relationship with the Turner-owned cable network, which also is home to the Noah Wyle starrer Falling Skies.

Stevens, whose credits also include supporting roles in Brooklyn's Finest and World Trade Center, is repped by ATA and attorney Jackoway Tyerman.
