After two weeks of big games, the showdown between the New York Giants and the Washington Redskins proved to be a smaller draw for Sunday Night Football. Fast National ratings for the NBC game give it a 5.4 rating with adults 18-49. That's 39 percent south of initial returns for last week's overtime game, though the rating will lift with time zone adjustments. NBC scored more narrow with adults 18-49, averaging a 4.4 rating for the night, and losing to CBS in total viewers with 12.6 million.

NFL overrun was huge for CBS, kicking off the night with a 7.8 rating among adults 18-49. Subsequent outings were lifted by the lead-in, and subject to adjustments, but all series -- 60 Minutes (3.4 adults), Amazing Race (1.9 adults) and The Good Wife (1.6 adults) were up. (The Mentalist aired after 11 p.m. on the east coast.) CBS averaged a 3.7 rating with adults 18-49 and 15.97 million viewers for the night.
Fox also saw NFL overrun, only skewing its 7 p.m. hour. The night's only originals -- Bob's Burger's (1.6 adults) and American Dad (1.7 adults) -- were both down a respective three- and two-tenths of a point. The network averaged a 1.5 rating with adults 18-49 and 3.4 million viewers.
America's Funniest Home Videos (1.2 adults) shed two-tenths of a point from its last showing on ABC, while Once Upon a Time (1.9 adults) held its most recent score. Telepic Christmas in Conway netted just a 1.1 rating in the demo, giving ABC a nightly average of a 1.3 rating in adults 18-49 and 6.6 million viewers.
