Matthew Perry is set to bring “The Odd Couple” back to TV.

The “Friends” alum will star as messy Oscar Madison in an updated version of the classic sitcom for CBS.

“Ever since seeing the movie The Odd Couple when I was 10 years old, it has been a dream for me to play Oscar Madison,” he said in a statement. “To be given the opportunity to develop a modern version of it for CBS has put a permanent smile across my face.

It’s not been announced who will play fussy Felix Unger opposite Perry’s Madison.

Perry would also serve as the co-writer and executive producer, according to Deadline.

“The Odd Couple” has been a Broadway stage show, a Hollywood movie, and an iconic TV series, with Jack Klugman and Tony Randall starring in the latter.

Perry has had a number of television starring vehicles since “Friends” left the air in 2004 — including “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip” and “Go On.”
