HBO has a released a second trailer for the upcoming third season of Girls, spotlighting the major professional moves by two of the twentysomething New Yorkers.
"It's really amazing that all three of you have accomplished so little in the four years since college -- I mean, think about it, four years," says Zosia Mamet's Shoshanah at the beginning of the trailer, to which Lena Dunham's Hannah nonchalantly responds, "Four years is like nothing."
Yet the trailer also reveals that Hannah's writing career is finally on the rise (for real this time, not just a pseudo-eBook deal), as she moves into a cubicle at a magazine (though with her last name misspelled) that also employs a character played by Jenna Lyons, creative director of J. Crew. Additionally, another editor enters a conference room and announces that she and her colleague have read her work. "I get you, Hannah Horvath," she says, "and I like you."
The trailer also shows Allison Williams' Marnie in what appears to be a music video for a song called "What I Am" (uploaded by the user FORBIDCharlie1986, with an avatar of Christopher Abbott's face), hinting that the former art gallery staffer is still pursuing a singing career. Jemima Kirke, Adam Driver, Andrew Rannells, Alex Karpovsky and Jon Glaser are also shown.
