‘Duck Dynasty’s’ Willie and Korie Robertson Book Fox News Interview

A few members of the Robertson family are breaking their silence about patriarch Phil Robertson's brief suspension from A&E's Duck Dynasty.

Fox News Channel announced Monday that Willie and Korie Robertson will be on the network's "All-American New Year" special, where they'll be interviewed by Bill Hemmer and Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

With the exception of several comments on Twitter, the Robertson clan has only weighed in on Phil's suspension -- the result of some incendiary comments about gay people and African Americans made during a GQ interview -- in a letter on the Duck Commander website.

"While some of Phil’s unfiltered comments to the reporter were coarse, his beliefs are grounded in the teachings of the Bible," read the statement. "Phil is a Godly man who follows what the Bible says are the greatest commandments: 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart' and 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'"

The family was vague about plans to participate in future seasons of the hit reality series without Phil, but any question of the series' fate was settled Dec. 27 when A&E announced it was welcoming Robertson back.

"After discussions with the Robertson family, as well as consulting with numerous advocacy groups, A&E has decided to resume filming Duck Dynasty later this spring with the entire Robertson family," read a network statement.

Willie and Korie will be interviewed live from Steamboat Springs, CO for their first television appearance since the reinstatement and the story will be one topic of discussion.

FNC's New Years special airs 9 p.m. through 12:30 a.m. ET and also includes performances by Rodney Atkins, Blues Travelor and Susan Boyle.
