LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- The 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards are one month away and the nominated stars are probably already busy trying to decide what to wear to the ceremony. Rob Lowe – who is nominated for “Behind the Candelabra” – called in to Access Hollywood Live on Thursday, where he proposed what may be the best award show idea ever!
“I may just wear my character’s makeup and hair to the actual Golden Globes,” he said of his beyond over-the-top Dr. Jack Startz character, who had a face only his plastic surgeon could love.
“Just pop some pills and heckle Tina Fey and Amy [Poehler], I’m gonna heckle Amy for sure now,” Rob told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover about attending the often spirited (maybe due to tables full of booze?) ceremony.

AccessHollywood.com reveals five actors (if not all the nominated stars!) we wish would attend the Golden Globes in character:
Cate Blanchett nominated for “Blue Jasmine”: Cate blew audiences away with her Jasmine role, a highbrow New York socialite who loses everything – including probably her mind. Jasmine’s acceptance speech might go on for many rambling hours, but it would be an epic speech for the ages.
Jared Leto nominated for “Dallas Buyers Club”: The 41-year-old turned in a touching and gripping performance as a transgender woman battling HIV – and we can’t think of a character who deserves a night out in couture more than her!

Jennifer Lawrence nominated for “American Hustle”: Jennifer is in the midst of yet another year of award season buzz, and while the actress always stuns on the red carpet, we’d love to see her Rosalyn Rosenfeld character work a vintage look and probably upstage every other star on the red carpet. (We also wouldn’t mind if her co-star, Bradley Cooper, showed up to the ceremony with his “American Hustle” man-perm.)
Helena Bonham Carter nominated for “Burton and Taylor”: Elizabeth Taylor (via Helena Bonham Carter’s acting skills) would be at the 2014 Globes – how could that not be anything short of amazing!?
Rob Lowe nominated for “Behind the Candelabra”: We couldn’t have our fantasy Golden Globes without the actor who came up with the idea. His vintage leisure suit, freshly pulled face and copious amounts of bronzer would make for a red carpet moment to remember.

* Honorable mention – Al Pacino nominated for “Phil Spector”: But, only if he comes in the giant Bozo the Clown-esque wig he wore while in court.
The 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards will air live on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at 8 PM ET and 5 PM PT on NBC with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler returning for the second year in a row as hosts.
