X Factor Top 10 Revealed After Shocking Double Elimination with Sing-Off

Truth rating: 10

(FOX)

The “X Factor” Top 10 was revealed on Thursday after a shocking double elimination that included a sing-off.

Sweet Suspense was immediately given a surprising boot after it was announced they received the lowest amount of votes for Wednesday’s performance show.

Simon Cowell was shocked to see the group he put together earlier in the season be the first to get cut.

Khaya Cohen and Rachel Potter were also unexpectedly in the bottom three, and forced to perform “save me” songs in hopes of staying in the competition.

Demi Lovato’s act Cohen performed “Don’t Give Up on Me” by Joe Cocker, followed by Kelly Rowland’s Potter performing “From This Moment On” by Shania Twain.

While Lovato noted that neither act deserved to be in this position, and questioned whether people assumed the pair would be safe and therefore didn’t cast votes for them, she naturally voted to eliminate Potter, as did Paulina Rubio.

And a shocked Rowland said, “There’s no reason in the world why two of the best vocalists in this competition are in the bottom two,” before voting to send home Cohen.

Potter was ultimately eliminated with Cowell’s third vote, explaining he wanted to save Cohen based on her ”potential.”
