"Single Ladies"
VH1's Single Ladies doesn't return until Jan. 6, but the cable network is ramping up its marketing efforts by launching e-books in preparation for season three.
The e-book series, written by New York Times best-selling author Ashley Antoinette, is meant to serve as a bridge between the season-two finale and the third-season opener, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Each e-book will focus on the lives and loves of the show's leading ladies, April (Charity Shea), Raquel (Denise Vasi) and Keisha (LisaRaye McCoy). The first, centered on April, will premiere Nov. 26, with the next two debuting Dec. 3 (Raquel) and Dec. 10 (Keisha). They are being individually sold for $3.99 via Amazon, Barnes & Noble and iTunes, and as a bundle beginning Dec. 17 for $9.99.
Single Ladies centers on three best friends with different philosophies on love, sex and relationships, proving that not all women have the same desires. Set in the world of Atlanta, Single Ladies asks the question: What do women really want?
Shea, Vasi and McCoy lead an ensemble cast that includes D.B. Woodside, Travis Winfrey, Terrell Tilford and new cast members LeToya Luckett, Damien Dante Wayans and Lesley-Ann Brandt.
Single Ladies returns Jan. 6 at 9 p.m. on VH1.
