"Scandal"
Halloween hit the broadcast networks pretty hard on Thursday night, with 18-49 usage down 8 percent for the entire primetime block.
That didn't hurt Scandal, though. The ABC drama topped all series for the night with a steady 2.9 rating among adults 18-49. Lead-in Grey's Anatomy (2.6 adults) lost two-tenths of a point to tie a low, while ABC opened the night with annual special It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown (2.2 adults) -- down half of a point from last year's outing. The network topped the night in 18-49 with an average 2.6 rating -- winning the first night of the November sweep. ABC also averaged 8.4 million viewers.

Sandwiched between encores of The Big Bang Theory, CBS freshmen The Millers (2.0 adults) and The Crazy Ones (1.9 adults) both suffered substantial drops. The comedies were down a respective seven- and four-tenths of a point. Elementary (1.7 adults) only lost a tenth of a point with its softer lead-in, and CBS took a 2.0 adults rating and 9.4 million viewers for the night.
On NBC, which saw NFL interruptions in Cincinnati, special SNL Halloween (1.7 adults) prompted a small boost for Sean Saves the World (1.2 adults), up a tenth o a point. The Michael J. Fox Show (1.1 adults) fell by the same measure, hitting a low, before a steady Parenthood (1.3 adults). NBC averaged a 1.4 rating with adults 18-49 and 4.4 million viewers for the night.
A special X Factor clip show tanked at 8 p.m., averaging just a 0.8 rating among adults 18-49. Averaged in with a Glee recap, Fox took a 0.7 adults rating and 2.6 million viewers for the night.
The Vampire Diaries (0.8 adults), which will likely see an adjustment later when a delayed New York market broadcast is accounted for, was off half of a point from last week, while Reign (0.6 adults) held steady. The CW took a 0.7 adults rating and 1.8 million viewers for the night.
