Justin Bieber is mourning the death of Jake Schafer, a young Canadian fan who has died of neuroblastoma.
“Heard little Jake is up in heaven,” tweeted the pop star late on Monday. “The world lost a great kid but I’m grateful I got to meet him. RIP Jake.”
Bieber included a video of the two playing hockey together after meeting in 2011 as part of Shafer’s wish through the Children’s Wish Foundation.
Schafer passed away in August, three years of being diagnosed with his illness.
