Jennifer Lawrence Teases Jon Stewart for Unprepared ‘Daily Show’ Interview (Video)

While U.S. audiences are just beginning to pour into theaters for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Jennifer Lawrence is taking a well-deserved 10-day break after her worldwide press tour. For her last talk show spot, she stopped by The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and ended up talking about haircuts, Helen Mirren and how the host is famously unprepared for guest interviews.

"Can you imagine getting your haircut and then finding out about it on the news? That was the weirdest thing that's ever happened to me," said Lawrence when Stewart mentioned CNN's breaking news alert about her new pixie hairdo. "Terrorists in the Middle East know I got my hair cut!" Stewart then quipped back, "Do you think they watch CNN? They'd be the only ones."

Stewart then flashed a photo of a young Mirren onscreen and suggested the legendary actress looks like Lawrence. While the random topic shocked the Hunger Games star, Stewart revealed his interview strategy: "Here's why -- I don't prepare for these very well."

Lawrence happily seized the opportunity to tease the talk show host. "Your producers and everybody involved in this show, tells everyone. 'He's not really gonna know a lot about the movie, or a lot about you,'" she explained. "Normally you have like a pre-interview and you go over like bullet points of things they really want to touch on. But it's like, 'No, no, no, we're just gonna-- you guys are just gonna talk, he's probably not gonna ask you anything about the movie, he might not ask you anything!'"

After an elongated laugh, Stewart did say, "I do know something about them -- you're in it."

Lawrence continued, "Come on, they must have written you up some sort of synopsis. You didn't get bullet points? There really are no bullet points? What kind of-- what's going on here?"

Nevertheless, Stewart ended what he called "a remarkably spirited and informational interview" by also announcing, "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will be in theaters on Friday -- I knew that!"

Echoed Lawrence: "I knew it too," pointing at the teleprompter.
