LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Jennifer Lawrence isn’t going to a galaxy far, far away just yet!
Since Disney announced plans for many more “Star Wars” films, including standalone films with some of the franchise’s most beloved characters, a slew of names have been thrown around. One of the oddest and most unlikely was the “Hunger Games” star as a young Han Solo – yes, you read that correctly.
“I can’t play a young Han Solo,” the “Catching Fire” beauty told Slash Film when asked about the idea of playing the galaxy’s favorite space smuggler – who just happens to be a guy!

Screen Crush recently penned a long piece touting the reasons why Jen could play the part.
“Not only is she athletic enough to run from bad guys, but she can convincingly wield weapons in a way that feels like someone might actually get hurt. Her roles are often women who are confident (bordering on cocky), determined, quick-witted, and smart, and she can lob one-liners like no one’s business. She has that mischievous twinkle in her eye, just like Harrison Ford’s Han Solo. Her resilience in ‘Winter’s Bone,’ her action heroine antics in ‘The Hunger Games,’ and her witty banter with Bradley Cooper in ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ combined could make for an excellent intergalactic hero in the vein of young Han Solo,” the mag mused.
Jen, on the other hand, is clearly not down to pilot the Millennium Falcon with a Wookie.

“That’s awful,” the actress said of the idea.
Adding, “Yeah, it’ll probably be male, but I have always wanted to play a man.”
