Holy Odd Casting Choice!: In possible casting news that is sure is thrill most of Brooklyn, “Girls” star Adam Driver – who plays Hannah’s boyfriend on the HBO series – is reportedly being considered for the role of Nightwing (formerly Robin) in the upcoming “Man of Steel” sequel. Both The Wrap and Latino Review reported that he’s a serious contender for the role in the movie where Batman and Superman will meet and possibly fight. At least two other actors are also reportedly in the mix. In this movie incarnation of the famous crime-fighting duo, Batman and Nightwing will have reportedly been estranged for many years when the movie picks up.
Speaking Of Batman…: Kevin Smith has seen Ben Affleck in the Batsuit and he spilled some details during a recent Q&A with “Man of Steel” director Zack Snyder. “I saw the costume,” he explained. “More than that, I saw [Ben Affleck] in the costume.” Adding, “I don’t want to give anything away ‘cause that is up to them and stuff, but I am going to say this, I instantly bear hugged him. You have not seen this costume in film before. Because every other movie has done this ‘Matrixy’ black armor thing… There wasn’t a single nipple on this f**king suit man. I think everyone is gonna be like ‘holy sh*t!’ We haven’t been down this path before.”

A Jedi Search In The Windy City?: The search for the new stars of “Star Wars” continues, this time reportedly in Chicago. According to The Hollywood Reporter, two teen roles are will attempt to be filed on November 14. The female role (named Rachel) – in the 17-18 range – is said to be a “street smart, independent, athletic, natural beauty,” with the role open to “all ethnicities, multi & bi-racial.” While the male role (named Thomas) is – in the 19-23 range – “athletic, smart, handsome,” and “independent spirited.” Let’s hope these are just working ideas for the character names!
