VIDEOPresident George W. Bush and former First Lady Laura Bush made a rare late-night appearance on Tuesday’s “Tonight Show with Jay Leno.”
The interview was a mix of serious and light-hearted moments, with the former Commander-in-Chief discussing everything from his post-presidency hobbies to becoming a grandfather.

Bush presented an uncanny portrait of Leno, showcasing just how much he’s brushed up on his brush strokes in retirement.
Revealing he’s recently taken painting lessons, Bush said he told his teacher, “There’s a Rembrandt trapped in this body. Your job is to find him.”
Leno also showed footage of Bush dancing with locals in Zambia, prompting the joke that there was “a little Miley Cyrus action” there.
Bush also reflected on his time in the Oval Office, saying his faith helped him make tough decisions, and noted that he’s not too concerned with how history will remember him.
“My attitude, if they’re still writing biographies of the first guy, the 43rd guy doesn’t need to worry about it,” said Bush.
But he has no interest in repeating the past.
“Eight years is plenty,” he declared. ”I don’t miss the spotlight.”
And after Leno earlier made several jabs at President Obama, Bush quipped, “Better him than me.”
But the host couldn’t resist making one more joke at Obama’s expense when Bush opened up about having heart surgery in August.
Laura noted how scary the situation was, but when Bush said he wasn’t scared at all, Leno interjected that was because “you had Obamacare.”
