Seven people were on board the aircraft that crashed Sunday and the two survivors have been taken to the hospital with injuries, Ontario Provincial Police said.

The Transportation Safety Board said it will look into the cause of the fatal accident in Red Lake, Ontario, when it sends investigators Monday.

The plane crashed at 7:34 p.m. near the airport, and hit several hydro poles on its way down, causing a power outage in the area. It's unclear what type of plane was involved, but Winnipeg radio station CJOB reported it was operated by Bearskin Airlines.

The two passengers sitting in the rear of the plane survived, CBC News reported. A male passenger climbed out of the wreckage and called the police. He returned and rescued a female passenger.
