LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Any job that Drew Barrymore takes will have to work well with her being a (second-time) new mother.
The 38-year-old actress, who welcomed daughter Olive with husband Will Kopelman in October 2012, opened up about the balancing act that many moms can identify with.
“Everything that I’m going to do is going to have a real consciousness towards, ‘Is this a job I can do and still get home in time for dinner and have days where I get to do every diaper change?’” Drew said during her Women’s Health cover shoot.
“Then I’m going to have to go out on certain days and work and try not to feel like the guiltiest person on the planet, which every mother understands,” she continued.
The actress, who is expecting her second child, also spoke about her desire to have a large family and how she’s not too worried about baby weight.
“I’d love to have more kids, and I think it’s about being mentally healthier… you’re not supposed to look perfect while you’re making babies. Making babies is the perfection. It’s about feeling good in clothes and knowing you can get dressed up in the evening and work it for a minute,” she explained. “Maybe get back into a certain pair of jeans, but there’s just no such thing as perfection. If you’re trying to get there you’re just torturing yourself.”

Drew also shared a tip for looking your best.
“My main beauty tip is don’t say that negative thing when you look in the mirror. It just isn’t healthy. That lack of beating up on ourselves, that’s my new mantra,” she said.
Adding, “Happiness is the best makeup. A smile is better than any lipstick you’ll put on.”
