Carrie Underwood is ready follow in Julie Andrews’ iconic footsteps when she plays Maria in NBC’s upcoming live broadcast of The Sound of Music – but apparently not everyone is excited for the historic production.

In fact, the singer admits she’s gotten a surprising amount of backlash over the project.

“I get hate tweets and stuff like, ‘You’re not Julie Andrews!’” she revealed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
