LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

The 34-year-old singer and “The Voice” coach has been named Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine, an honor previously awarded to Channing Tatum in 2012.
“As a musician, you have fantasies that you want to win Grammys, but I didn’t really think that this was on the table,” Adam told People. “I was just amazed and stunned and it almost seemed like they were kidding, but they weren’t, so that’s cool.”

On Monday, Access Hollywood Live’s Billy Bush and Kit Hoover asked Adam about the rumors that he was about to nab the 2013 title, but the singer played coy.
“I don’t believe it,” he said at the time. “I don’t want to get my hopes up. That’ll get me too excited about it and it won’t happen, and I’ll be depressed.”

Now that Adam has earned the title, he better watch out for fellow “Voice” coach Christina Aguilera, who told Access that she’ll be gunning for Adam.
“If it happens, I got a good prank. I got a good one!” she warned Adam.
