The longest-tenured active athlete in Boston pro sports: Tom Brady.
The next-longest-tenured Boston athlete: David Ortiz.
Both had very, very big days on Sunday, October 13, 2013. For Brady, a last-second touchdown pass to lead the New England Patriots over the New Orleans Saints. For Ortiz, a game-tying grand slam in the 8th inning to tie the Detroit Tigers and ignite a comeback Red Sox victory in Game 2 of the American League Championship Series.
Approximately 106,000 fans combined were on hand at Gillette Stadium and Fenway Park to see these events. Two of those fans, both with great vantage points and steady hands, were able to capture the glory and elation of witnessing sports greatness first hand.
