TV Ratings: ‘Toy Story of Terror’ Strong, MLB Postseason Continues to Climb

Fast National Returns give an early advantage to Fox, which saw its 8:03-11:35 p.m. coverage of the Detroit Tigers' victory over the Boston Red Sox rise considerably from last season's ALCS Game Four. Though the numbers are approximate before time zone adjustments, the game is currently averaging a 2.4 rating with adults 18-49 -- up 71 percent from the comparable face-off last fall.

CBS had a solid night, with a steady Survivor (2.5 adults) leading into small lifts for Criminal Minds (2.7 adults) and CSI (2.0 adults) -- both up a tenth of a point from last week. The network averaged a 2.4 rating with adults 18-49 for the night and 10.1 million viewers.

Pixar's first ABC special, Toy Story of Terror, averaged a strong 3.0 rating with adults 18-49 at 8 p.m. The considerably lifted lead-in did not boost Back in the Game (1.8 adults), which held steady with last week. Modern Family (4.0 adults) ticked up a tenth, while Super Fun Night (2.1 adults) continued to slide -- falling four-tenths of a point from last week. Nashville (1.7 adults) was also improved by a tenth of a point, giving ABC a 2.4 adults rating and 7.5 million viewers for the night.

Revolution (1.4 adults) was off a tenth from last week for a new series low on NBC. Law & Order: SVU (1.7 adults) inched up a tenth of a point, while Ironside held onto last week's modest 1.1 rating with adults 18-49. NBC averaged a 1.4 in the demo and 5.9 million viewers.

Over on the CW, the network saw a two-tenths lift for Arrow (1.1 adults) at 8 p.m.. The Tomorrow People (0.8 adults) fell just a tenth from the prior week. The CW averaged a 1.2 rating with adults 18-49 and 2.6 million viewers.
