With The Voice officially cutting down to one hour on Tuesday night, The Biggest Loser kicked off NBC's lineup with its 15th season premiere. The episode averaged a 2.2 rating with adults 18-49, off eight-tenths (27 percent) from January's opener. The one-hour Voice was up from last Tuesday's recap special, pulling a 3.9 rating with adults 18-49. Chicago Fire (2.4 adults) improved by three-tenths of a point. NBC pulled a 2.8 rating with adults 18-49 and 9.3 million viewers for the night.

Growing NCIS at 8 p.m., winning the hour without competition from The Voice, CBS saw the procedural pull a 3.0 rating among adults 18-49 -- a three-tenths of a point improvement from last week. NCIS: LA (2.6 adults) held even with last week, while Person of Interest (2.1 adults) inched up by a tenth. CBS averaged a 2.6 rating with adults 18-49 and 15.2 million viewers for the night.
A mostly steady Agents of SHIELD (2.7 adults) was down a tenth of a point on ABC, leading into a significant dip for The Goldbergs (1.6 adults). The comedy dropped four-tenths of a point at 9 p.m., while Trophy Wife (1.3 adults) was off by one tenth. A repeat of Scandal wrapped the night, with ABC averaging a 1.6 rating with adults 18-49 and 5 million viewers.

Over on Fox, Dads (1.4 adults) kicked off the night up a tenth, leading into an even Brooklyn Nine-Nine (1.5 adults). New Girl (1.8 adults) dropped three-tenths of a point, while The Mindy Project (1.4 adults) was also even. Fox pulled a 1.5 rating with adults 18-49 and 3.2 million viewers for the night.
The CW saw improvement for The Originals (1.1 adults). The freshman Vampire Diaries spinoff was up two-tenths of a point, matching lead-out Supernatural (1.1 adults) in the key demo. The network earned a 1.1 rating with adults 18-49 and 2.3 million viewers for the night.
