Art will soon imitate life once again for Susan Sarandon and Eva Amurri.
The real-life mother and daughter are set to star as a fictional mother/daughter duo in an NBC comedy pilot called “Growing Ivy.”
Amurri will star as “Type A+” Ivy Davis, who craves the stability she lacked in her childhood, and has thrown herself into her career at the expense of her personal life.
“In an attempt to restore balance and potentially find love, she invites her freewheeling, eccentric mom Franckie to move in with her and work on their relationship,” says the network.
The show is based an original idea from Amurri, and she’ll co-executive produce along with Sarandon.
The two previously played mom-and-daughter together in The Banger Sisters, and will again in the upcoming Mother’s Day.
