Why didn't Miley Cyrus' mom cover her up and pull her off stage at the MTV VMAs? Because she's her daughter's biggest supporter! In a sneak peek video from the Wednesday, Oct. 3 premiere of Miley: The Movement television special on MTV, the 20-year-old "We Can't Stop" singer explains her close relationship with mom Tish Cyrus.
"My mom is my homie," Miley shares. "If I win, she wins. Not because she's my manager -- because she's my mom."

And Tish, 54, is with her daughter every step of the way throughout her career.
"Anyone that's ever said, 'Where's her mother?' Right beside her," Tish says. "Through good, through bad, though arguments, through crying, through I don't care what . . . right there."

Miley says her mom keeps her "less anxious" before a big performance. "I do get so overwhelmed when I'm going to perform," she explains, "because everything has to be perfect."
In her MTV documentary, the former Hannah Montana star admits that she's trying to change her image. "I just needed to let go of the past in a way, so I felt like I could be the bad bitch I am," the "Wrecking Ball" singer says.
Of her hyper-sexualized performance to Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" at the MTV VMAs in August, Cyrus explains, "You can watch that performance and think that's a hot mess, but it's a strategic hot mess . . . If I wanted a raunchy sex show, I wouldn't have been dressed as a damned bear."
