Elton John “played Cupid” for Lady Gaga and Johnny Depp, reports the National Enquirer, which claims the “Rocket Man” singer recently “arranged a secret meeting” for the pair.
A so-called “source” tells the magazine, “Elton was determined to hook up Johnny and Lady Gaga,” noting, “Elton is convinced the two superstars would make an amazing power couple.”
The tab alleges John’s “covert operation” took place at Craig’s in Hollywood on September 23, quoting the supposed “insider” as saying, “Johnny and Gaga hit it off immediately.”
“They bonded over music, flirted a little and basically got to know each other,” claims the “source,” who adds, “By the end of the night, they’d already made plans to see each other again.”
Umm…
Gaga has been dating Taylor Kinney for more than two years.
Depp is in a relationship with Amber Heard.
No one is trying to set them up with each other.
Regardless, Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to Gaga, who tells us the mag’s story is “inaccurate.”
