Katie Holmes has joined Twitter.
The actress began tweeting as @KatieHolmes212 on Friday, perhaps inspired by seasoned social media pro Taylor Swift, with whom Holmes stars in the upcoming adaptation of The Giver.
Holmes’ first post was actually a retweet of producer Nikki Silver’s photo from the movie’s shoot in South Africa, showing a group that includes Holmes, Swift, Jeff Bridges, Odeya Rush, and Cameron Monaghan (see below).
She then wrote, “So happy to be on twitter!!!!!! Sending first tweets from South Africa!!!!!”
