The British, Finns and Swedes have the most freedom to travel the world without a visa. They can enjoy visa-free travel to 173 countries, according to the 2013 Henley & Partners Visa Restrictions Index.
The U.S. ranks second-best with visa-free travel to 172 countries along with Germany, Luxembourg, and Denmark.
Nine out of 10 of the top countries with the most freedom to travel are part of the European Union, with only the U.S. representing the rest of the world.
Afghanistan ranks the lowest with only 28 countries in the world allowing Afghans to visit without a visa. Iraqis can travel visa-free to 31 countries. Pakistan and Somalia fare equally poorly with only 32 countries welcoming them without a visa.
