LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Now that Charlie Hunnam has left “Fifty Shades of Grey,” the search for the actor to play S&M-loving billionaire Christian Grey continues with Dakota Johnson still locked in as Anastasia Steele.
A slew of new actors vying to fill the shoes left vacant by Charlie have emerged. According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Once Upon A Time’s” Jamie Dornan and “True Blood’s” Alexander Skarsgard are both possible replacements. Original contenders Theo James (“Golden Boy”), Christian Cooke (“Magic City”) and Garrett Hedlund (“TRON: Legacy”) are also reportedly being considered again.
Charlie might be out, but former co-star Dakota is reportedly “100 percent committed,” according to The Wrap. The filmmakers are also standing firm with Dakota and whoever lands the role will be required to have chemistry with her, as opposed to the other way around.

More information regarding Charlie’s exit is also coming out and the actor reportedly did not want to go down the Robert Pattinson road.
According to People, the “Sons of Anarchy” star did not want to live in a “Twilight”-sized spotlight.
“He dropped out of the project because he didn’t want to be typecast,” a People source said. “He didn’t want the Robert Pattinson-esque attention that would come along with taking on this role.”
