LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Dolly Parton is the original queen of country glam, but the legendary singer says she ditches the wigs, eyeliner and lashes when she’s at home.
“I look like hell like everybody else!” Dolly told Access Hollywood’s Michelle Beadle in an exclusive new interview in Nashville.
But the 67-year-old bombshell does try to keep up appearances for husband Carl Thomas Dean, who she married in 1966.

“When I’m at home, I still try and put on a little makeup for my husband. I don’t like for him to be the one that has to see me at my worst,” she said with a laugh. “With everybody else I’m always wearing makeup… But I always put on a little makeup and I always fix my hair a little – whether it’s the wigs or not.
“I always put a few hot rollers in my hair just so I look pretty decent for him when we run around in our little RV,” she added.

And Dolly – whose new album, “Blue Smoke,” is due out early next year – revealed the secret to how she keeps her waist so small (hint: it involves her renowned chest).
“Nothing grows in the shade,” she joked to Michelle, when asked her how she keeps her stomach so small.
The singer will embark on an international tour for “Blue Smoke” and will visit New Zealand, Australia and Europe beginning in February, and said she can’t wait to spend time with her global fans.
“It’s an amazing feeling because I don’t go there enough,” she said. “So, when you go, they’re so glad to see you ‘cause you don’t come that often and so they want to show you how much they love you and how much they appreciate you. So it’s really an electrifying experience between myself and the audience.”
