Camille Grammer underwent a “radical hysterectomy” on Friday after being diagnosed with endometrial cancer.
“The surgery went well and she is expected to make a complete recovery following a significant recuperation period,” her rep tells Gossip Cop in a statement.
The former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star is said to have been at a higher risk for the cancer — which was discovered in an early stage — due to genetics, and credits “regular checkups and monitoring” for her “early detection and rapid treatment.”
“Ms. Grammer expresses gratitude to all the amazing health care professionals who have taken such loving and nurturing care of her,” says the spokesperson, adding, “She urges all women to be aware of genetic factors relating to women’s cancers and get regular checkups.”
Gossip Cop wishes Grammer a speedy recovery.
