ABC News is continuing to reshuffle its Nightline team.
Dan Harris, an anchor/reporter and weekend Good Morning America host, was named co-anchor of the late evening news show, ABC News president Ben Sherwood said in a statement on Friday. Current Nightline anchor Bill Weir, who joined the program in 2010, will be departing the network.
"Dan is one of our most versatile anchors-covering many of the biggest news stories for all of our broadcasts since he joined the network in 2000, including mass shootings in Newtown, Connecticut, Aurora, Colorado and Tucson," Sherwood said in his statement.
