Kenichi Ebina held on tight to his frontrunner status on the last semifinal round of “America’s Got Talent” on Tuesday.
The contestant — whom Howie Mandel said during the quarterfinals “has to win” the competition — received a standing ovation from the judges panel for his virtual reality-inspired performance.
Mandel exclaimed afterward, “This is the biggest talent show in the world. You, sir, are the biggest talent in the world. You really are.”
“This is a variety show. You have the variety. You’re a comedian. You are a dancer. You are a mime. You are an artist. You are a writer. You do absolutely everything. A lot of the other contestants do one…,” he continued. “You’re the man. You should win a million dollars!”
Howard Stern told Ebina, “Kenichi, I must applaud you… I can’t criticize that. There’s nothing that I could say to you that would improve that performance.”
Heidi Klum added, “Kenichi, you are elevating dance to a whole new level. I think that you are a genius.”
And Mel B told him, “It’s just mind-blowing what you do and how you do it and how you come up with it. I want to see this show in Vegas. Done!”
