TV Ratings: ‘Blue Bloods’ Tops Friday Premieres, ‘MasterChef Junior’ Debuts

CBS topped Friday night among adults 18-49 (1.6 rating) and total viewers (9.6 million viewers), launching its slightly retooled block for the evening. Undercover Boss (1.5 adults) returned down 20 percent from its last debut -- but up two-tenths of a point from last year's time slot occupant, CSI: NY. Hawaii Five-0 (1.5 adults) made the move to Fridays, easily outpacing last fall's launch in the spot (Made in Jersey) -- but shedding three-tenths of a point from last year's Monday opener.

Blue Bloods bucked the dipping trend, rising 13 percent from last year for a 1.7 rating among adults 18-49. It also boasted the biggest viewership of the night with 11.4 million viewers.

ABC saw further dips for comedies Last Man Standing (1.2 adults) and The Neighbors (1.0 adults). The half-hour shows dropped a respective three- and two-tenths of a point from last Friday. The night's top demo performer, Shark Tank (1.9 adults), rose by a tenth of a point from last week's premiere. It was followed by a steady 20/20 (1.3 adults). The network averaged a 1.4 adults rating and 5.4 million viewers.

Fox launched the latest entry in its Gordon Ramsay empire with MasterChef Junior. The show took its 8 p.m. hour with a 1.6 rating among adults 18-49. Fox, which also aired a repeat of Sleepy Hollow, averaged a 1.3 adults rating and 3.5 million viewers for the night.

NBC premiered Dateline (1.3 adults), steady with last fall and giving the net an average 1.1 adults rating and 5.7 million viewers for the night.

Perfect Score (0.2 adults) and America's Next Top Model (0.4 adults) both held last week's scores on the CW, despite the increase in competition.
