Iain Dale vs protestor vs dog. But whose side is the dog on?
The Labour Party conference in Brighton has, until today, been notable for the lack of physical fights. But then this morning blogger and publisher Iain Dale livened everything up by having a scrap with a protestor.
Which the BBC's Nick Sutton has helpfully posted a video of.
The fight began when the protestor, Stuart Holmes, tried to protest behind a TV interview former Labour spinner Damian McBride was giving to Daybreak.
Dale is the publisher of McBride's controversial new book about his time working for Gordon Brown's administration. As such, he was quite keen that nothing get in the way of his book's publicity strategy.
Dale explained in a blog post that Holmes "was filling a lot of the screen and totally distracting from the interview". As such, he writes, "I did what any self respecting publisher would do, got out of the car, ran across and pulled him out of the shot."
