"Supernatural"
Things are looking grim for Dean and Sam.
The CW has released the new poster for the ninth season of Supernatural, which kicks off Oct. 8 at 9 p.m., with the eerie tagline: "Prepare for the Fall." Jared Padalecki (Sam) and Jensen Ackles (Dean) are front and center, while Misha Collins (Castiel) and Mark Sheppard (Crowley) hold their ground behind them.

Joining Supernatural in the new season include Whodunnit? host Gildart Jackson and Battlestar Galactica alum Tahmoh Penikett in a recurring capacity as Ezekiel, a "dignified warrior angel injured in the Fall." The "Fall" is a reference to a scene in the season-eight finale in which angels fell from from heaven.
Here is the official synopsis for the season-nine premiere: "Dean is frantic after Sam collapses and the doctor tells Dean his brother won’t make it. Desperate, Dean sends out an all points bulletin via prayer to every angel in the area, asking them to help his brother. In exchange, Dean will owe that angel a favor. Numerous angry angels race to find and kill Dean, but one, Ezekiel, gets to him first. Meanwhile, Sam fights for his life and must face some familiar demons to do so. Castiel struggles to survive without powers."
